Industry Partner Circle

Dear Current and Future Industry Partners,

Your generous support of the Construction Management and Technology program since 1957 has been tremendous and has allowed our program to continue to grow an evolve in the midst of our ever changing world. The Del E. Webb School of Construction, housed within ASU’s School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment, continues to provide world-class instruction to the future leaders of the construction industry. We could not have done it without your support and involvement.

We continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the construction industry. This fall semester we have 504 undergraduate students and 383 graduate students, for a total of 887 students! This represents a 12% increase in undergraduate student and an 88% increase in the graduate student populations!

Over the years, our donors have helped us become a leader in construction education. Some of the activities made possible by our donors include:

• Awarding over 50 undergraduate scholarships each year.

• Sending student teams to national competitions.

• Host international construction conventions.

• Appoint endowed professorships and chairs; these help us attract and retain world-class faculty.

• Employ a construction-specific recruiter, ensuring we continue to grow the pipeline of construction management professionals.

• Conduct outreach events at K-12 schools to increase the visibility of and interest in construction as a profession.

• Host events where industry members and alumni interact with current students.

Our industry partners saw a need to develop a new sponsorship model to support the needs of the Del E. Webb School of Construction and simplify the process for donors. The model allows us to utilize discretionary allocation to support the needs of the students and industry, while allowing the donors the ability to add targeted dollars should they desire to do so. The new program, named the Industry Partner Circle (IPC), is constructed to support donors of all sizes providing each with the flexibility to donate at multiple levels. In addition, Industry Partner Circle partners have increased access to the Programs Chair to discuss involvement and to discuss targeted donations should they have a special interest. This provides the opportunity to add support targeted to specific areas, such as recruitment, general scholarships, golf tournament sponsorship, or named endowments.

We can generate one invoice for all Del E. Webb School of Construction opportunities and additional ASU-wide philanthropic opportunities. Please let us know what is most convenient for you.

I look forward to briefing the industry partners annually on our progress to improve our program, and to increase our interactions with our partners to benefit the students.

Sincerely,
Anthony J. Lamanna

Other ways you can help

An industry professional shakes hands with a DEWSC student at the vesting ceremony during Safety Week

Course Sponsorship

Investing in the underwriting of a course will ensure faculty offer industry-specific projects that represent the reality of the construction industry today. Your support may be used to provide professional development activities to faculty and/or students, or provide transportation and lodging for travel to conferences or competitions. Equipment, supplies, and materials may also be purchased with these funds.

Temporary room wrapping

Help our spaces look more inviting while showing off your business. We have several areas that could benefit from some tasteful graphical wall wraps.

Perpetual naming

Your support for a specific classroom, laboratory, interview room, or other space will provide faculty and students with necessary experiences for a career in construction management.

Matching gifts

Employers often match their employees’ charitable contributions. Under the right circumstances, this could double the impact of your gift to the Del E. Webb School of Construction.

Together, we can build the future.
