Being a student at Del E. Webb School of Construction gave me a jump-start on my career. The real-world experiences, supportive
faculty, industry relations and
close-knit community has helped me build confidence, find purpose and grow into a strong individual who’s passionate about construction. Each class, student organization and
internship has shaped me into a more ambitious and capable version of myself. I wake up every day excited to pursue a lasting career that
truly inspires me.”

Sofia Purcell
’27 BS in construction management and technology

Though the construction program did prepare me well for technical and managerial applications in the workforce, that was never my main takeaway. The aspect that has really helped me for the long run is having the skills to actively problem solve and critically think through any situation. In the construction industry, if you have these abilities, there is limitless potential for what you can achieve.”
