Performance Based Studies Research Group The Performance Based Studies Research Group was founded in 1994 by Dean Kashiwagi, Ph.D. Housed in the Del E. Webb School of Construction, the group’s research was initially specific to construction but has since expanded to other industries. The purpose of the group is to develop tools and processes to improve the procurement and delivery of projects and services, as well as the measurement of organization’s internal operations and personnel.
